Taylor & Mathis Completes Build-To-Suit Distribution Facility for Buffalo Rock Company

Taylor & Mathis has completed development of a new state-of-the-art distribution facility for Buffalo Rock Company in Milton (Santa Rosa County), Florida. The 347,740 SF project is located on a 47.3-acre site at the I-10/Hwy 87 interchange, approximately 15 miles northeast of downtown Pensacola. Buffalo Rock signed a 20-year lease for the property, which was delivered $2.3 million under budget.

Founded in 1901, Birmingham, AL-based Buffalo Rock is the nation’s largest privately-held Pepsi® and Keurig Dr Pepper® distributor, and also provides fountain and coffee services
and beverage and snack vending services for dozens of other top U.S. brands. The company distributes and sells its brands throughout Alabama, parts of Georgia and the panhandle of Florida.
The project includes 40,000 SF of office space in a two-story mezzanine area and features a cross-dock warehouse with painted site-cast concrete walls, punched-opening windows, 36′ minimum clear height, ESFR sprinkler system, LED lighting and 63 dock doors. Site improvements include 338 automobile parking spaces, 321 trailer parking spaces, two truck courts ranging from 185′ to 385′ in depth, and a free-standing fleet maintenance facility.

Vardaman Construction out of Birmingham, AL was the general contractor for the project. JH Berry, also out of Birmingham, represented Buffalo Rock on the deal.
